David Plourde

LEOMINSTER – David M. Plourde, 46, of Leominster, died suddenly on Thursday, August 23, 2018, in his home. He is survived by his lifelong domestic partner, Robert A. Seguer of Leominster; his mother, Bettyann (Gagner) Pina and her husband William of Webster; his father, Emile J. Plourde III and his wife Robin of Prattsburg, NY; three sisters, Lisa Richie of Charlotte, NC, Michele Wallace of Huntersville, NC, and Holly Plourde of Branchport, NY; two nieces, Felicity and Allie; a nephew, Bruin; several step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Alberta Boyle, who was like a grandmother to him. He was predeceased by his brother, Emile J. Plourde IV who died in 1992; his grandfather, Russell Gagner Sr. who died in 1999; and his grandmother, Barbara Gagner who died in 1972. He was born in Worcester and lived in Webster, Worcester and Fitchburg, before moving to Leominster 11 years ago. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1990 and attended Westfield State College.

David was the senior systems engineer at P.S.S. in Clinton for 19 years. He loved his cats, watching the Waltons, and spending time with his family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at a later date at Mount Zion Cemetery in Webster. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 29, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal society or shelter of your choice.
