Eleana Barton

OXFORD – Eleana R. (Humphrey) Barton, 72, of Liberty Lane, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her son, Michael D. Barton and his wife Darcy of Oxford; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Edward C. Barton and Charles E. Barton. She was born in Barnet, VT, daughter of the late Ray T. and Rose A. (Chaput) Humphrey, and lived most of her life in Oxford.

Ms. Barton was an artist and painter at Jim/Jan Handcrafts for seven years, retiring in 1994. In addition to working professionally as an artist, she also enjoyed art as a hobby. She made beautiful Christmas ornaments for her family and friends. She enjoyed all crafts and loved to cook for her neighbors on Liberty Lane. She was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford.

Services will be private. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
