Biography

WEBSTER -- Anna M. (Cronin) LaFortune, 83, of Webster, died on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur J. LaFortune of Webster; four children, Pamela J. Careau of North Smithfield, RI, Arthur J. LaFortune Jr. of Charlton, James E. LaFortune of North Grosvenordale, CT, and Lois A. Payne of Dudley; a sister, Patricia LaFortune of Putnam, CT; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, James, John and William Cronin; and two sisters, Eleanor Lamoreaux and Edith Carey. She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Welcome) Cronin, and lived in Oxford for many years before moving to Webster over 20 years ago. Mrs. LaFortune worked for Keys Department Store in Webster for several years, retiring in 1976.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010, at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, July 26, 2010, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the service.
