OXFORD – Cynthia H. (Marean) Young, 76, of Sibley Circle, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Roland “Butch” W. Young Jr. who died in 2014. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn L. Ferraro of Worcester; her special sister-in-law, Paulette E. Masse of Millbury; two brothers-in-law, Robert Young of Florida and John Young of Douglas, special nephews and nieces, James Ferraro and his wife Scarlett, Robyn Ferraro, Scott Masse, and Monique Boulette; her stepson, Roland W. Young III of Virginia; many great nephews and nieces; and her beloved dog, Lily. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank C. and Catherine V. (Hamilton) Marean Jr., and lived in Worcester, Webster, and Dudley, before moving to Oxford in 1991. She graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1967.
Mrs. Young worked at N.G.M. Insurance Company in Auburn for 28 years, retiring in 2012. She worked in the banking industry throughout her life. She enjoyed vacationing in Maine and spending time in Branchport, NY. Mrs. Young and her husband Butch enjoyed many activities together, including traveling, riding motorcycles, and boating. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs.

A memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the conclusion of the calling hour.
