OXFORD - Agnes F. (Morrissey) Vancellette, 88, formerly of Wheelock Street, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Vancellette, who died in 1993. She is survived by her son, Mark K. Vancellette of Oxford; three grandchildren, Erin, David, and Apryl; two great grandchildren, Marcus and Ariane; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, David M. Vancellette of Oxford, who died in 1965; a brother, John; and a sister, Mary. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Kilroy) Morrissey, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1956. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1939. Mrs. Vancellette was a waitress at various restaurants in the Worcester area for several years. She was a nurse's assistant at Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster for several years and at the Masonic Home in Charlton for several years. She was a member of St. Roch's Church and enjoyed playing bingo. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. There are no calling hours. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
