Albertine Plante

OXFORD – Albertine A. (Desmarais) Plante, 94, formerly of Oxford, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in Florida. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Joseph C. Plante who died in 1996. She is survived by her son, Joseph E. Plante of Oak Hills, CA; her daughter, Cynthia A. Ryan of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Yvonne Latuga of Oxford and Claire Potter of Ravenwood, MO; five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Romeo and Fabiola (Menard) Desmarais, and lived in Holyoke, Webster, and Oxford, before moving to Florida in 2006.

Mrs. Plante worked at Cranston Print Works in Webster for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family at North Cemetery in Oxford. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
