Allyn A. Ohan

OXFORD – Allyn A. Ohan, 80, of Wayne Avenue, died Thursday, August 21, 2025, at UMass-Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester, after a period of declining health.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy L. (Marnalse) Ohan of Oxford; his daughter, Corynne L. Moscoffian and her husband Robert Jr. of Leicester; his grandson, Ian M. Moscoffian of Leicester; and his best friend, Michael McGinness of New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his son, Bryan Scott Ohan of Oxford, who died in 2024.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Albert A. and Madeline M. (Berthiaume) Ohan, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1971. He graduated from South High School in Worcester in 1962, and later received a certificate from Worcester Boys Trade.

Mr. Ohan worked for William F. Lynch Mechanical Contractors in Worcester for many years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Union Local 127, and later Local 63, for 60 years. He loved to play golf and was a member of Pine Ridge Country Club in Oxford and Hillcrest Country Club in Leicester for many years.

He enjoyed bowling, swimming, and sports. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, and loved watching games on TV as well as attending games at Fenway Park. He won many trophies and awards over the years for his accomplishments in golf and bowling. He also played darts and pool at Cicero’s in Worcester. He loved traveling, especially taking trips with his wife to Aruba.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at St. Roch’s Cemetery, Federal Hill Rd., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
