OXFORD – Alma E. (Knox) Morrow, 97, died Thursday, May 5, 2022, at her son’s home in Douglas. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Herbert H. Morrow Jr. of Oxford who died in 2015. She is survived by two children, William K. Morrow and his wife Danielle of Douglas, and Susan E. Srofe and her husband Kelly of Nehalem, OR; four grandchildren, Kevin Morrow and his wife Laura, Paul Srofe, Kenneth Srofe and his wife Ellery, and Jennifer Wells and her husband Stephen; four great-grandsons, Nigel Morrow-Anderson and his wife Joce, Hunter Morrow, Cody Morrow, and Ryder Morrow; two great-great grandsons, Aceson Morrow-Anderson and Bex Morrow-Anderson; a sister, Judith Mikat; a brother, Herbert Knox; many nephews and nieces; and close friends John and Diane Kimball. She was predeceased by three children, Stephen Morrow who died in 2021, Dianne E. Morrow who died in 1953, and Baby Boy Morrow; three sisters, Helena Blake, Lois Dubois, and Norma Pong; and three brothers, Robert Knox Sr., Walter Knox, and Charles Knox.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Horace F. and Anna B. (Starbard) Knox, and lived in Worcester, Oxford, Portland, OR, and Douglas throughout her life. She attended Worcester Public Schools.
Mrs. Morrow was the administrative assistant to the superintendent of Oxford Public Schools for 35 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church, and a member of the Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed sewing, word puzzles, and traveled cross country with her husband several times. Most important in her life was time spent with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf, 4 Maple Rd., Oxford, MA 01540.
