March 24, 1962 — April 13, 2018

SOUTHBRIDGE – Ann Marie (Fanion) Simpson, 56, of Fiske Street, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline M. Carter and her husband Wayne of Dudley, and Kimberly A. Simpson of Charlton; two brothers, Wally Fanion of Arizona, and Andrew Fanion and his wife Wanda of Florida; two sisters, Cynthia DeCelle of Southbridge and Alice Martini and her husband Gerard of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Damon J. Simpson of Dudley, Kameron Gale of Florida, Adriana Chesley of Dudley, Kendra Carter of Dudley, Cody Chesley of Dudley, Madison Demech of Charlton, and Michaela Carter of Dudley; her mother-in-law, Barbara Simpson of Florida; and her fiancé, David Sears of Southbridge. In addition, she leaves many friends and loved ones, and her beloved dog Buck. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Fanion who died in 2013, a brother-in-law, Jay DeCelle, and two sisters-in-laws, Fae Fanion and Phyllis Fanion. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Andrew F. and Gertrude (West) Fanion, and lived most of her life in Southbridge.

Ms. Simpson was a supervisor in the central sterile supply department at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, for many years. Previously, she worked at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family who she always considered her pride and joy.

The family would like to thank the Overlook V.N.A. in Charlton for the exceptional care provided by their staff throughout the years.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Overlook Hospice / V.N.A., P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA 01507.
