OXFORD – Anthony P. Bertini, 70, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Thompson, CT.
He is survived by four children, Sherri A. Hebert and her husband Scott of Massillon, OH, Anthony Giaquinto and his wife Sharon of Canton, OH, Amanda L. Bertini of Worcester, and Jennifer L. Rivera of Thompson, CT; a sister, Katherine Bertini of Oxford; 15 grandchildren, Miranda Bertini, Scott Hebert Jr., Tanner Hebert, Conner Hebert, Jose Rivera, Tristchion Speight, Jaedin Betancourt, Joel Betancourt, Jorden Betancourt, Eliase Bertini, Francisco Cruz-Rios, Chad Giaquinto, Nicholas Giaquinto, Autumn Giaquinto, and Miles Giaquinto; four great-grandchildren, Alayna Bertini, Noah Bertini, Braxton Hebert, and Oakleigh Hebert. He was predeceased by three brothers, Patrick Bertini, Joseph Bertini, and Francis Bertini; and a sister, Mary Standring.
He was born in Middletown, CT, son of the late Joseph and Constance L. (McCarthy) Bertini, and lived most of his life in Oxford.
Mr. Bertini was a taxicab driver for Yellow Cab in Worcester for over 50 years. He was an Oxford Police Cadet in his youth. He enjoyed driving, going to the casino, eating out at his favorite restaurants, and most of all, loved driving his cab and talking with people.
Calling hours are Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Remembrances by the family will be offered at 8:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at North Cemetery in Oxford.
