Anthony Doreika, Jr.

OXFORD - Anthony M. "Tony" Doreika Jr., 48, of Walcott Street, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Heidi M. (Baker) Doreika of Oxford; his stepdaughter, Emily A. Beaulieu of Oxford; two brothers, John P. Doreika and his wife Cynthia of Clearwater, FL, and Leo J. Doreika and his wife Eileen of Bar Harbor, ME; a sister, Regina Doreika of Worcester; many nephews and nieces, and several great nephews. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Anthony M. and Gerda I. (Statkiewicz) Doreika Sr., and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1987. He graduated from Doherty High School in Worcester in 1977 and attended Fitchburg State College. Mr. Doreika was an account representative at M.L.S. Property Information Network for 12 years, and was named "Trainer of the Year" for Realty World. He was also a self-employed tax preparer. Previously, he was a phlebotomist at Worcester City Hospital. Mr. Doreika was a member of the Germania Social Club in Worcester and was class president of his freshman class at Doherty High School. He enjoyed traveling and hiking, and recently enjoyed a trip to Alaska with his wife. A funeral will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday, September 4, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
