WEBSTER – Arlene E. (Columbus) Pariseau, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, William L. Pariseau who died in 1980. She is survived by three children, Sandra L. Pariseau of Putnam, CT, Ronald D. Pariseau and his wife Linda Sulkazi of Pomfret Center, CT, and David L. Pariseau and his wife Karen of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters, including Evelyn Conti and Claire Nicholson. She was born in Oxford on August 26, 1922, daughter of the late Paul and Mabel (Leman) Columbus, and lived in Oxford and Dudley before moving to Webster 67 years ago. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1941.
Mrs. Pariseau worked at Angelo Fabrics and Greeting Service in Webster for many years prior to retirement. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Webster. She was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America, and will be remembered as a kind woman who was loved by everyone.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Brookside in Webster and Ascend Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gold Star Wives, 200 N. Glebe Rd., Room 435, Arlington, VA 22203-3755, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
