OXFORD – Arnold A. Caplette, 90, of Rocky Hill Road, died Friday, July 17, 2026.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy Ann (Tavernier) Cyr Caplette of Oxford; three daughters, Pamela Spaulding and her husband Scott of Colorado, Cynthia Osowski and her husband Sean of Georgia, and Sandra Springer of Webster; his stepdaughter, Renee Wheeler and her husband Kevin of Webster; two brothers, Euclid Caplette and Edward Caplette; three sisters, Sylvia Wagner, Loretta Bourdeau, and Mary Arsenault; five grandchildren, Bailey Springer, Molly Springer, Ella Springer, Anya Spaulding, and Aiden Spaulding; and a step-granddaughter, Amanda Jastrzebski.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Helene (Postma) Caplette; three brothers, Rene Caplette, Leonard Caplette, and Russell Caplette; two sisters, Adele Goon and Elaine Poirier; and a stepdaughter, Nanette Gunderson.
He was born in Charlton, son of the late Armand and Viola (Bouchard) Caplette, and lived most of his life in Charlton before moving to Oxford in 1996. He graduated from Charlton High School in 1954 and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Caplette worked at AT&T in Worcester for 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was a long-time member of the Palmer Beagle Club, loved gardening and caring for his yard. Most of all, he cherished time spent with family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, with a calling hour from 10 – 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial with military honors will follow at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
