Augustus Costa, Jr.

BRIDGEWATER – Augustus “Gus” M. Costa, Jr., 65, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by two sisters, Conchita “Connie” Deschenes of Dudley, and Anita Gilman of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Morris Costa who died in 1993. He was born in Acushnet, son of the late Augustus M. and Marion (Muniz) Costa.

Mr. Costa graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster in 1972. He spent most of his working years in the construction industry.

Memorial calling hours are Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A service will be held on Thursday at 12 noon. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
