OXFORD – Beatrice C. (Tozia) Perry Powers, 75, of Reynolds Road, Charlton, and formerly of Oxford, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her daughter's home in Putnam, CT, after a battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 10 years, Robert T. Powers, Jr., of Oxford, who died in 2001; and her first husband of 38 years, Arthur H. Perry, Sr., of Oxford, who died in 1987. She is survived by four children, Arthur H. Perry, Jr. and his wife Maryann of Charlton; Stephen Perry of Thompson, CT, Deborah P. Mancini of Putnam, CT, and Sharon L. LaPierre and her husband Bernard of Woodstock, CT; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. She was born in Dudley, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Adams) Tozia, and lived most of her life in Oxford. Beatrice worked at Jeffco Company in Webster for many years, retiring in 1994. She previously owned and operated Arty's Café in Oxford with her husband, Arthur. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Sunday, April 20, 2008, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
