OXFORD – Betty L. (Edlin) Larson, 88, of Woodland Drive, died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton.  She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Jon E. Larson of Oxford, who died in 2013.  She is survived by four children, Elaine L. Larson and her husband Publio Pintado of La Mancha, Spain, Karen A. Massa and her husband Ralph of Douglas, Linda E. Larson of Oxford, and Jon E. Larson of North Grosvenordale, CT.  She is a beloved Grammie to Breanna Larson, Brendan Mirabito, Carmen Pintado Larson, and Oscar Pintado Larson and her four great-grandchildren, Cody Coonrod, Owen Coonrod, Colton Mirabito, and Amelia Riley.  She will also be greatly missed by her dog, Molly.  She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Edlin who died in 1964.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Eric and Elsa (Sward) Edlin, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1959.  She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Larson worked at WCIS in Worcester for 15 years, retiring in 1993.  In addition, she was a school bus driver for Oxford Public Schools. 

She enjoyed traveling to visit family, was a voracious reader, enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew. She was a painter and woodworker, making furniture for her home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Overlook and the hospice department for their kindness and compassionate care.

A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery in Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
