WEBSTER – Bettyann (Gagner) Pina, 74, of Ash Street, died Friday, May 17, 2024, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, William Pina of Webster who died in 2022. She is survived by her brother, Russell A. Gagner Jr. and his wife Anna of Barefoot Bay, FL; her granddaughter, Felicity M. Fortier of New York; seven stepchildren, Ricardo F. Pina of Worcester, Pamela M. Merchant of Weymouth, William A. Pina of Worcester, Belinda A. Pina of Spencer, Michelle Bailly of Worcester, Robin E. Bailey of Columbia, SC, and Lisa M. Rodgers of Williamston, NC; step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by two sons, Emile J. Plourde IV who died in 1992, and David M. Plourde who died in 2018; and a stepson, Frank Pina Sr. who died in 2013.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Russell A. and Barbara J. (Nichols) Gagner Sr., and lived most of her life in Oxford before moving to Webster in 1977. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1969.
Mrs. Pina was a cashier at Walmart in Oxford for many years prior to retirement. She was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Oxford and enjoyed playing Bingo at Sacred Heart Church in Webster.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Webster. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
