Beverly J. Dery Gauthier

WEBSTER – Beverly J. (Hoye) Dery Gauthier, 89, of Eastern Avenue, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond N. Gauthier who died in 2020; her son, David W. Dery who died in 2018; her brother, Richard S. Hoye who died in 2020; her sister, June E. Lewis who died in 2018; and her husband, Edwin Stalec who died in 2012.

She is survived by two sons, Richard W. Dery and his spouse Tandin of Key West, FL; and Stephen S. Dery and his spouse Rose of Webster; her daughter-in-law, Judith Dery of Webster; six grandchildren, Scott, Christopher, Matthew, Luke, Hayden, and Treyton Dery; a great-granddaughter, Rayne Goodis; several nieces and nephews; and two close friends, Ruth and Donald Lundstrom of Worcester.

She was born in Oxford, daughter of the last Walter and Evelyn (Whaley) Hoye, and lived in Oxford, Dudley, and Florida, before moving to Webster in 1969. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1954.

Mrs. Gauthier was a teacher’s aide at Webster Public Schools for several years, retiring in 2002. Previously she worked at Stevens Linen in Dudley for 15 years. Later, she helped her husband operate Otto Lundstrom Inc. She was a member of the Webster Federated Church of Christ.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Webster Federated Church of Christ, 4 Church St., Webster. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Garden of Peace in Webster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webster Federated Church of Christ, 4 Church St., Webster, MA 01570.
