Beverly J. Dery Gauthier

WEBSTER -Beverly J. (Hoye) Dery Gauthier, 89, of Eastern Avenue, died Friday, April 10,2026, at UMass Medical Memorial Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond N. Gauthier who died 2020; her son, David W. Dery who died in 2018; her husband, Edwin Stalec who died in 2012; her brother, Richard Hoye who died in 2020; and her sister, June Lewis who died in 2018.

Born and raised in Oxford, she was the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Whaley) Hoye and lived in Oxford, Dudley and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to Webster in 1969.

She was a teacher’s aide at Webster Public Schools for several years retiring, in 2002. Prior to that, she worked in the office at Stevens Linen Mill in Dudley for 15 years. She was a member of Webster Federated Church of Christ.

Beverly’s great joy in life was her family whom she adored. She was devoted to her children and cherished each of her 6 grandsons, who were her pride and joy. She loved animals, especially cats, and she was seldom without a feline companion as part of her home. She was kind and thoughtful, strong and hardworking, and she will be greatly missed by those she loved.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Dery and his spouse Tandin of Key West, Florida, and Stephen Dery and his spouse Rose of Webster; her daughter in law, Judith Konkel Dery; six grandchildren, Scott, Christopher, Matthew, Luke and his wife Alana, Hayden, and Treyton Dery; her great-granddaughter, Rayne; several nieces and nephews; and two close friends, Ruth and Donald Lundstrom of Worcester.

A funeral service will be held at the Webster Federated Church of Christ, 4 Church Street, Webster, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St Joseph’s Garden of Peace in Webster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webster Federated Church of Christ, 4 Church Street, Webster, MA 01570.
