Bradley Germain

OXFORD – Bradley I. Germain, 75, of Burbank Street, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy M. (Porkey) Germain of Oxford; his son, Joshua N, Germain of Oxford; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.  He was predeceased by a son, Matthew I. Germain; three brothers, Danial A. Germain, Ronald W. Germain, and his twin brother Stanley A. Germain; and a sister, Dolores Overbye.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late William I. and Beatrice A. (Morin) Germain, and lived in Oxford for the 10 years.

Mr. Germain retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service.  He served during the Vietnam War and retired as a staff sergeant.  Following his military retirement, he worked for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Boston and then Grafton Job Corps Center, where he rose to cafeteria manager of each before retiring.  He later worked for Auto Parts International.  He enjoyed bowling and woodworking at his home.

A memorial calling hour will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 5-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A prayer service including military honors will be held at 6 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hour.  Burial will be at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, or to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
