HOLLAND – Brenda A. Gagne, 64, of Old County Road, died Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the North Pavillion of UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after a short battle with lung cancer.
She is survived by two brothers, Curt J. Gagne and his wife Theresa of Oxford, and James J. Gagne and his wife Rebecca of Brimfield; her nephew, Andrew G. Gagne and his wife Rebecca of Oxford; their two daughters, Mariam and Esther Gagne; and her best friend who was like a sister to her, Susan E. Bates of Palm Bay, FL.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Philomond “Phil” and Joan A. (Gallant) Gagne, was raised in Oxford and lived in Spencer for several years, before moving to Holland in 2002. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1979.
Brenda was a manager at Imperial Distributors in Worcester, where she worked for 26 years. Previously she worked for Millbrook Distributors in Worcester. Brenda loved her lake house in Holland, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends there. She had two beloved cats, and loved beach vacations with her family.
Calling hours are Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary, 180 Sturbridge Rd., P.O. Box 557, Brimfield, MA 01010.
