AUBURN – On the evening of March 3, 2024, Brian passed away peacefully following a sudden heart attack. Despite the unexpected nature of his passing, he was surrounded by the love and company of his beloved wife, Kim.

Brian E. Gallaway was born on January 28, 1965, in Southbridge, MA, to his parents Elton F. Gallaway and Lorraine M. Gallaway (Robidoux). He spent his formative years in Charlton, MA, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and lasting memories. In his youth, Brian played Little League and worked at Ronnie's Seafood in Charlton, forming lifelong connections.

A graduate of Shepherd Hill Regional High School, Class of 1983, Brian excelled both academically and athletically. During his school years, he was actively involved in various activities, including student government, tennis, and football, showcasing his passion for sports.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Excelsior College. His career journey began in the travel industry, where he gained valuable experience before transitioning to a pivotal role at American Express. Furthering his education, Brian obtained a Master's in Business Administration from Plymouth State University, enhancing his skills and leadership capabilities. With a steadfast determination to excel, he joined Fidelity Investments, where he served as a Senior Product Management professional for over 18 years.

Brian's loved-ones remember his extensive knowledge of trivia and his love for live entertainment, particularly concerts and sports. Beyond his hobbies, his children emphasize his unwavering dedication to their well-being and happiness. Despite their independence, he remained actively involved in their lives, always ensuring they had everything they needed for a bright future.

Brian is preceded in death by his loving parents, Lorraine M. Gallaway and Elton F. Gallaway of Charlton, MA. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Gallaway (Saari) of Auburn, MA, who stood by his side through the later part of his life's journey. Brian leaves behind cherished memories with his son, Colin Gallaway, currently residing in Itabashi, Tokyo, with his wife, Kyoko Matsushima. He also leaves a lasting legacy with his daughter, Brooke Gallaway, who resides in Seal Beach, CA, along with her partner, Benjamin McIntyre.  He is also survived by his two stepsons, Zachary Merriam of Worcester, MA and Eric Merriam of Auburn MA.

Brian is fondly remembered by his sisters, Lynn Leigher and her husband Kirk Leigher of Oxford, MA, and Stacy McGann of Westboro, MA. He was also an adored uncle to two nieces and three great-nieces residing in Oxford.

Calling hours are Monday, March 11, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A service with remembrances by family and friends will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association to PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
