OXFORD – Bruce “Buddy” E. Walker, 70, of Wheelock Street, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his home after a long illness. He is survived by seven children, Donald B. Walker of Dudley, Tammie L. Walker-Borowy and her husband Anthony of Dudley, Bruce W. Walker of Thompson, CT, Jessica M. Caro and her husband Michael of East Hartford, CT, Jennifer L. Andino of Oxford, Adam R. Courtemanche of Worcester, and Ashley R. Courtemanche of Worcester; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces; and his lifelong friend, Jackie Barszcz of Webster. He was predeceased by three siblings, Joyce Desautel, Sharon Lamb, and Joe Walker. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Donald R. and Shirley R. (Cummings) Walker, and lived in Oxford for the past 25 years.
Mr. Walker worked in the maintenance department at the T.J. Maxx Distribution Center in Worcester for 35 years. He was a member of the Auburn Elks, and enjoyed managing and coaching softball for many years. He was an avid Patriots fan, loved golf, riding his Harley, and spending time with his many friends.
Memorial calling hours are Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 1-4 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
