OXFORD - Catherine M. Boyle, 86, of Oxford passed away peacefully at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence after a short illness on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Catherine was born in Glasgow, Scotland, one of ten children, to Mary & Francis McGoldrick. She leaves behind her husband, Andy, of 61 years as well as her beloved son, Stephen, and his loving wife Tracy. She is survived by her sister, Mamie Geddes of Yulee, FL, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews in Scotland, England, Australia, and the US/Canada. She also leaves behind many treasured friends in Oxford who she thought of as family, celebrating many holidays together and playing cards at the lake.

In 1960, she moved to Campsie, Australia where she and Andy married and then in 1970, Catherine, Andy and Stephen moved to Oxford where she resided until her death. Together with Andy, they founded the original Oxford youth soccer program in 1976, which they ran for many years with help from parents and friends who generously volunteered their time. Catherine worked for the Oxford Middle School, Heald Machine and Pernet Family Health Services. She has been a member of the Daughters of Scotia since 1971. Catherine and Andy enjoyed traveling together, visiting many countries including India, Egypt, Italy, and they enjoyed a great river cruise in Germany for their 50th anniversary.
