OXFORD – Chandler C. Giroux, 67, of Rawson Avenue, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is survived by daughter, Kelly J. Giroux of Altoona, FL; his mother, Joyce E. Giroux of Oxford; his brother, Lurlyn “Gyro” Giroux and his wife Cindy of Webster; his sister, Verona Porter and her husband John of Oxford; four grandchildren, Edwin Vermette Jr., Jordan Vermette, Dalton Vermette, and Summer Vermette; his former wife, Darlene Rousseau of Altoona, FL; nephews, nieces, and many friends. He was predeceased by his son Joshua Boisvert. He was born in Webster, son of the late Arthur L. Giroux, and lived in Webster before moving to Oxford in 2014. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Giroux owned and operated C.C. Giroux Trucking in Oxford. He was a truck driver throughout his life and worked as a self-employed welder many years ago. He enjoyed nature, the beach, and riding his motorcycle.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veteran's Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
