WORCESTER – Charlene A. (Mitchell) Bryant, 68, of Worcester, died Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, after a long battle with kidney disease.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronald L. Bryant of Worcester; three children, John Bryant of Worcester, Emily Bryant of Worcester, and Karl Bryant and his fiancée Alexa of Charlton; four sisters, Donna LaLiberty and her husband Barry of Leominster, Pamela Jansson and her husband Joel of Dudley, Sharon Boyda and her husband Jack of Thompson, CT, and Jo-Ann Murphy and her husband Robert of Dudley; her brother, Joseph Mitchell and his wife Gina of Worcester; her sister-in-law, Jane Mitchell of Maine; three grandchildren, Savannah, Trent, and Desmond; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin P. Mitchell who died in 2021.
She was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Karl E. and Janet T. (Levasseur) Mitchell, and lived in Oxford and Webster before moving to Worcester in 1990. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1974.
Mrs. Bryant worked at Walgreens for many years prior to retirement. Previously, she was an underwriter for Hanover Insurance in Worcester for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to their campsite in New York, and had a talent for creating diamond art. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 12 noon at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours.
