Charlene Rutter

LEICESTER – Charlene A. (Sullivan) Rutter, 45, of Towtaid Street, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, with her family by her side.  She is survived by her three children, Joslyn N. Rutter, Kaitlyn A. Rutter, and Christian C. Rutter, all of Cherry Valley; her parents, Lawrence G. and Doreen A. (Dumas) Sullivan Sr. of Leicester; her brother, Lawrence G. Sullivan Jr. and his wife Christen and their two children Amber and Joseph of West Warren; her sister, Maureen A. Sullivan of Leicester; her fiancé, Thomas J. Ouellette of Worcester; her former husband, Christian L. Rutter of Worcester; her dog, Maximus; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was born in Worcester and was a lifelong resident of Leicester.  She graduated from Leicester High School in 1995 and LIBS Beauty Academy.

Charlene owned and operated Shear Perfection Hair Salon in Worcester for 11 years.  Previously, she worked at Ricciardi’s Hair Styling in Worcester.  She loved vacationing and trips to Disney World.  She loved vacationing with her entire family. Cold Storage Beach on Cape Cod was her absolute favorite place on earth.  She had an incredible devotion to her family, loved to host family gatherings, and was always there for her children.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford.  Burial will be held in the spring at Cherry Valley Cemetery.  Calling hours are Monday, December 19, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Flowers may be sent.
