Charles Perkins

OXFORD - Charles E. Perkins, 77, of Wayne Avenue, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at the Meadows of Leicester. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn E. (Cummings) Perkins, three children, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, and one sister. He was born in Holden, the son of the late Charles E. and Corrine (Royer) Perkins, and was raised in Holden and lived most of his life in Oxford. Mr. Perkins was a retired staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he served for 23 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oxford. All are welcome to attend a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 52 Old Webster Road, Oxford. A private burial will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, P.O. Box 704, Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
