SPENCER – Cheryl A. Lalone, 69, of Wire Village Road, died peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Brian J. Lalone of Spencer; two sons, Richard N. Lalone and his wife Emily, and Derek S. Lalone; all of Spencer; a brother, Russell J. Bruso Jr. of Dudley; three sisters, Sally A. Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, Susan M. Bradford of Kennebunkport, ME, and Cynthia E. Brennan and her husband Jonathan of Oxford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Grace A. (Barry) Waddington, and lived most of her life in Oxford before moving to Spencer six years ago. She attended Oxford Public Schools.

Mrs. Lalone was co-owner of Utterly Delicious in Oxford for three years. In addition, she worked as a supervisor for Crossmark at BJ’s in Auburn for five years, and as a member of the care-giving staff for Life-skills Inc. in Webster.

She had many hobbies including gardening and researching natural medicines. She loved spending time at the beach, especially in Maine, and was a board game aficionado who excelled at word games like Scrabble. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her family meant everything to her.

Memorial calling hours are Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A time of remembrance by family and friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be held privately at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford.
