FREDERICA, DE - Clifford Blaine Munro, "Cliffy", 80, of Frederica, Delaware, joined his late beloved wife, and best friend, Evelyn Gail Munro, on June 6, 2023. He was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on April 8, 1943, to Madelyn and Clifford Munro.
Cliff and Evelyn were married in August 1964.
In 1966 he joined the United States Army where he proudly served and protected our country. After many years of shoveling feet of snow in MA, NY and ME they ventured out and planted roots in Frederica, Delaware; where Cliffy proudly worked for the Milford Walmart.
Cliffy's most cherished moments were spent with Evelyn. Together the two of them made candles, played cards, watched the Phillies, traveled, found a casino and enjoyed the slots everywhere they went and went out on the occasional "date night". Most importantly, they were amazing "bonus-parents and grandparents" to so many. They truly loved being around friends and family, especially the little ones. When Evelyn passed, a part Cliffy went with her. He continued to work for the Milford Walmart days up until his passing. He filled his free time tending to his marigolds, watching the Phillies, spending time with friends and family. He really looked forward to his trips to Maine where he would visit his cousin LuAnn and husband Buddy for whom he loved so very much. His returns to Delaware were always filled with stories of nothing but love and laughter from his trip.
Cliffy will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for seafood dinners, but most importantly, the unconditional love he had for Evelyn.
Cliffy was predeceased by his sister Audrey.
Cliffy is survived by his brother, Mark Munro, and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews of many generations.
All are welcome to attend a graveside service with full military honors on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., at Worcester County Memorial Park, located at 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA, 01612.
