Spencer

SPENCER – Cornelia, "Connie" (Scott) Bugbee, 83, died peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a short illness.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harold, "Mickey", F. Bugbee of Spencer; four children, Michelle Bugbee and her partner Angie Raimondo of Easthampton, Scott Bugbee and his wife Liz of Norfolk, Amy Caldicott and her husband Robert of Durham, NH, and Mark E. Bugbee of Leicester; two sisters, Carol Whalen and her husband James of Lacombe, LA, and Margaret Mera of Montgomery Village, MD; nine grandchildren, Tucker and Emily Bugbee, Zachary Jones, Julianna and Jack Caldicott, Mark, Mathew, Michael, and Max Bugbee; and many nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Harrington, Kathleen Scott, and Judith Fallon.  She was born in Andover, daughter of the late Donald P. and Cornelia (Doonan) Scott, and lived in Oxford and Holliston for many years before moving to Spencer about 10 years ago.  She graduated from Enfield High School in Enfield, NH, in 1957, and received a bachelor's degree from Clark University in Worcester in 1961.

Connie was the managing editor of iMoneyNet for over 10 years, retiring in 2010.  She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and spending time with her family.  Since retiring, Connie and Mickey have been on many cruises and other trips in the US and internationally.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her husband and all her children and grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed by her many family members, friends and former colleagues. Connie could always be counted on for a card, a gift or a chocolate chip cookie.  She loved fiercely and made everyone feel special.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at St. Roch’s Cemetery, Federal Hill Road, Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Connie’s memory, including by making a donation to the Jimmy Fund Walk to honor her memory https://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/site/TR?fr_id=2000&pg=personal&px=2162510&s_hasSecureSession=true. Connie supported many charities so any charity of your choice would make her smile.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
