DUDLEY – Curtis A. Groleau, Sr., 60, of Cottage Road, died Monday, January 15, 2024, in his home after a long battle with leukemia.  He is survived by two brothers, Roland J. Groleau Jr.  and his wife Tina of Weston, ME, and Michael T. Groleau of Fountain Inn, SC; his former wife, Gaye A. (Gregoire) Groleau of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a son, Curtis A. Groleau Jr. who died in 2021; and a brother, Charles R. Groleau.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Roland O. and Delia A. (Beaudette) Groleau, and lived in Sturbridge and Southbridge before moving to Dudley seven years ago.  He graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton in 1981, where he played football and baseball.

Mr. Groleau was a self-employed contractor throughout his life, most recently owning MCG Builders.  He loved carpentry and was a master carpenter.  He enjoyed all sports and loved playing golf.  He was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
