Dan Peter Lawrence

OXFORD – Dan Peter Lawrence, 76, of Bailey Road, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

He is survived by two brothers, David Allen Lawrence III and his wife Dixie of Pittsburg, NH, and James J. Lawrence and his partner Brenda Allen of Charlton; and thirteen nephews and nieces, David Lawrence IV and his wife Kelly, Scott Lawrence and his wife Angela, Richard Lawrence, Michael Lawrence, Brianna Lawrence and her fiancé Matt, Nicholas Lawrence and his wife Morgan, Arianna Buchanan, Chloe Lawrence, Colby Lawrence, Lainy Lawrence, Gracie Lawrence, Kinsley Schlegel, and Emberlee Schlegal; and his shared living providers, Jane Gatheru and Mary Gatheru, both of Oxford. He was born in Webster, son of the late David Allen and June H. (Marcoux) Lawrence, Jr.

Dan had a love of music, especially rock and roll and “oldies but goodies.” He enjoyed going for walks to the neighbors for coffee, and enjoyed swimming when he was young at his home on Glen Echo Lake in Charlton. He was a dedicated part of the family and attended all family events and gatherings. He attended church with his mother throughout his life. In his pastime, he loved old western movies and shows, especially the Rifleman. He had an infectious personality and was very social with everyone he met. He will be remembered as a kind man to all who knew him.

The Center of Hope was an integral part of his social support network for many years, of which the family is very grateful. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Harrington Memorial Hospital, for the exceptional care during his illness.

Memorial calling hours are Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 12 noon - 2:00 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at North Cemetery in Oxford. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
