He was born in Worcester, son of the late Earl A. and Alice (Desautels) Skeean, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School.
Mr. Skeean worked for Achorn Graphics, and later Achorn International, as a proofreader for over 30 years. He was currently working as a proofreader – an occupation he had since high school. He enjoyed traveling, especially family trips to Old Orchard Beach in Maine, and Provincetown on Cape Cod where he wished to retire one day. He had many fun memories in Provincetown, especially with close friends John and Kevin. He held a special place in his heart for his cats who passed before him, Indigo, Molly, Finn, Isabella, and Dooby, and will be greatly missed by his cats Milo and Mina.
Denis was a family man first, and took care of everyone in his family. His family gathered for dinners every Sunday, and he prepared extraordinary meals every week. He had a huge heart and his love for his family was the most important thing in his life.
There will not be any services. The family plans to celebrate his life in a private setting. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
