Donna M. Bruce

SPENCER – Donna M. (Westerlind) Bruce, 68, of Pleasant Street, died peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert A. Bruce of Spencer; two daughters, Heather L. Daniels and Nicole M. Bruce, both of Spencer; four brothers, Frank Westerlind Jr. and his wife Linda of Aiken, SC, Philip Westerlind and his wife Pamela of Worcester, Steven Westerlind and his wife Christine of Sturbridge, and John Westerlind and his wife Anita of Worcester; two granddaughters, Kyla Wint and her husband Christopher of Douglas, and Myka Daniels of Spencer; a great-grandson, Ezekiel Wint of Douglas; her Goddaughter, Samantha; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Griggs.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Vera (Repekta) Westerlind Sr., and lived in Worcester and Oxford before moving to Spencer seven years ago. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Bruce worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for 38 years, most recently as a critical care technician prior to retirement. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales, and birdwatching in her yard.

The family would like to thank the VNA Care Hospice, especially Jen and Anna, for their exceptional care during her illness.

Calling hours are Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours.
