Doris Plasse

WEBSTER – Doris M. (Nygard) Plasse, 81, of Thompson Road, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Herve R. "Nick" Plasse of Webster. She is survived by her son, Richard Plasse of Webster; two daughters, Barbara J. Thibaudeau of Florida and Corinne M. LaVallee of Holland, MA; a sister, Mildred E. Laakko of Worcester; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Victor and Maria E. (Bostrom) Nygard, and lived in Worcester for 45 years before moving to Webster in 1971. She graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1943 and Becker Junior College in Worcester in 1944. Mrs. Plasse was the office manager at P.L. Rider Inc., in Worcester for 15 years, retiring in 1982. Previously, she was a clerk at the former State Mutual Company, currently Hanover Insurance, in Worcester for 8 years. She loved sewing and bowling, and enjoyed her vegetable garden. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are Saturday, October 6, 2007, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
