OXFORD – Dorothy M. (Hammond) Hultin, 85, of Millbury Road, died peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Ronald R. Hultin who died in 2006. She is survived by seven siblings, Marjorie Simpson of Webster, Joan Lackstrom of Florida, Lorraine Fortunato of Worcester, Gail Copeland of California, Franklin Hammond of Charlton, Marcia Leblanc of Auburn, and Martha Hammond of Charlton; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Ira Hammond, Barry Hammond, and Henry Hammond. She was born in Charlton, daughter of the late Frank and Martha E. (Olson) Hammond, and lived in Charlton and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1967. She graduated from Charlton High School and Salter Secretarial School.
Mrs. Hultin was a secretary for over 20 years at Paul Morgan Construction in Worcester prior to retirement. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn and volunteered her time serving coffee at the Lutheran Home on Wednesdays. She was a member of the Helping Hands Society in Charlton and the Red Hat Society.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Auburn. Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery in Charlton. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
