OXFORD - Dung V. Nguyen, 41, of Clarence Drive, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, from pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Amy M. (Boris) Nguyen of Oxford; three children, Rebecca L. Nguyen, Megan A. Nguyen, and Matthew Y. Nguyen, all of Oxford; his mother, Phai T. (Nguyen) Nguyen of Kennebunk, ME; six brothers, Qui, Kgoc, Chau, Diep, Thanh, and Hai; two sisters, Thuy and Van; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Houng. He was born in Vietnam, the son of the late Yen V. Nguyen, and lived in Vietnam for 8 years and Kennebunk, ME, for 17 years, before moving to Oxford in 1998. He received his bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College and his master's degree from Worcester State College. Mr. Nguyen was a former physical education teacher at Oxford High School. A funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 12, 2014, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Those attending the Mass are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nguyen Family Memorial Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 400 Southbridge St., Auburn, MA 01501.
