CHARLTON – Edward J. Boyle, 76, of Muggett Hill Road, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.  He is survived by his four daughters, Janine Soffron and her husband Michael of Weare, NH, Kelley Boyle and her significant other Patrick Bulksi of Northbridge, Laura O’Bara and her husband Carl of Charlton and Dawn Willette and her husband Todd of Millbury ; a brother, Charles Boyle and his wife Andrea of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Samantha Soffron, James Soffron, Amber Shelton, Dennis Shelton, Katie O’Bara, Ryan O’Bara and his wife Aubrey, Ashly Mallas and great grandson Jacob Mallas.  He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Boyle.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Charles and Rose (McCall) Boyle, and lived in Webster and Oxford before moving to Charlton two years ago.  Ed graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester.

He was a mechanic at U.P.S. in Shrewsbury for 30 years, retiring in 2006.  He enjoyed trips to the casino, traveling, and especially loved playing golf.  Most important in his life was spending time with his grandchildren.  Eddie was greatly loved by his family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 8:15-10:15 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
