MILFORD – Edward R. Eck, 71, of Meade Street, made his final curtain call on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, after a battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his brother, Donald S. Ekstrum of Oxford; three nieces, Dawn Marie Torres of Ocala, FL, Judith Rajotte of Worcester, and Martha Eck of Brookfield and a nephew, Christopher Eck of Worcester. He was predeceased by a nephew, Jeffrey Eck, in 2020. Ed was born in Milford, son of the late Carl O. and Martha F. (Frick) Eck; and was raised in Worcester. He graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1967 and attended UMass Amherst. He moved to Milford in 1990.
Mr. Eck worked in the computer industry throughout his life, including Digital Equipment Corporation. He was a member of the Milford Theater Guild where he acted and performed many other roles in the theater. Ed had a fondness for cats.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or to an animal rescue of your choice. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
