Elizabeth Bergin

HARDWICK - Elizabeth “Betsy” (Dimock) Bergin, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer on February 23, 2021.

Betsy leaves her husband Joseph of Hardwick; her brother Richard Dimock; and her sons Patrick and his wife Wendy of New Boston, NH, and Michael along with his wife Eryn; and her grandchildren Hannah and Carter of Evergreen, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

Betsy was born in Oxford, on September 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Dimock. She graduated from Northborough High School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She worked as an elementary school teacher and later as an office manager.

Betsy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and as a great friend. She loved traveling with her family. She enjoyed gardening and training many Labrador retrievers.

A graveside service will be held at St Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 10 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
