Elizabeth C. Bertrand

NORTH GRAFTON – Elizabeth C. Bertrand, 85, of Westboro Road, died Friday, October 2, 2026, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

She is survived by many cousins, including her cousin and guardian Nancy A. Frank of West Brookfield.

She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Raymond Octave and Violet (Broga) Bertrand, and lived in Southbridge for many years before moving to North Grafton.

Betty enjoyed attending The Venture adult day program in Sturbridge for many years and previously the Center of Hope. We’d like to thank all of her caregivers over the past years for her wonderful care. She enjoyed trips to the beach and vacationing at Walt Disney World many times.

Betty was a bright light in our world. She was intelligent, funny and kind. She had a smile that would make the room brighter. All that had the pleasure of knowing her, genuinely enjoyed her presence. She enjoyed her day program and the people connected to it.

She’s in the arms of the Angels. The hands of God.

May she dance in the heavens, sing with a voice that was silent for so many years and receive as much joy as she truly gave while here on earth.

Calling hours are Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in West Brookfield.
