NORTH OXFORD – Ethel G. "Sis" (Goddard) Webber, 89, of Turner Road, died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Burton D. Webber of North Oxford; two step daughters, Theresa R. Farr of Florida; and Elizabeth Thibeault of Southbridge; a brother, Roger Goddard of North Oxford; a sister, Frances Hutchinson of Auburn; many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late George and Thecla (Bagin) Goddard, and lived in Southbridge before moving to North Oxford in 1960. Mrs. Webber was a lab technician at American Optical in Southbridge for 35 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Quinebaug Valley Campers in Sturbridge and a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, November 19, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
