LEICESTER – Frank Joseph Cole III, 63, passed away peacefully November 22, 2025, in the comfort of his home after a valiant eight month battle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1962, in Springfield.

After six years in South Hadley, he spent his childhood in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1980. He also attended the former Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.

Frank proudly served three years in the United States Navy before being honorably discharged after a back injury. He worked for approximately 20 years dispatching for and delivering, installing, and servicing medical equipment. After that, he did customer service for various area companies.

In 2016, Frank had to stop working as his back injury got progressively more debilitating. Despite having two major back surgeries, he was in constant pain. However, he continued to be committed to his family, his wife and her large extended family, and to his many friends.

Frank enjoyed NASCAR, the Patriots, the Bruins, Westerns, dinners out, card games, trips to the beach, fishing, boating, concerts, and quiet evenings chilling at home with his wife.

Frank leaves his beloved wife, Suzanne D. (Casey) Cole, of Leicester with whom he celebrated their silver anniversary on June 17, 2025. He also leaves his father, Frank J. Cole II, of Northborough; his sisters- and brothers-in-law, MaryBeth and Michael Curnen of Auburn, and Judy and Evan Jones of Nashua, NH; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Corey Cole of Westford; and his sisters-in-law, Liz Cooney of Somerville, Colleen Casey of Oxford, and Deana Casey of Dudley.

Frank leaves his nieces and nephews, Mallory Cole and her husband Peter Nahas of Concord, Ben Cole and his partner Katie Mullen of Brooklyn, NY, Kevin Cole of Westford, Bex Cole and her wife Jennie van den Boogaard of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Abby Jones of San Diego, CA, Nick Jones of Nashua, NH, Tony Jones of Boston, Olivia Curnen of London, England, and Grace Jones of Brooklyn, NY. He leaves one great-niece, Hazel Cole Nahas of Concord.

In addition, Frank leaves his "godson", Tanner Vienneau, of Douglas and his honorary nieces and nephews, Tyler, Stephanie, Keliana, and Dylan Doyle of Worcester.

Frank was predeceased by his mother, Irene T. (Pion) Cole of Auburn (2003), his brother, Tom Cole of Somerville (2016), his mother-in-law, Joyce Casey of Oxford (2005), and his father-in-law, Raymond Casey of Oxford (2022).

The family would like to thank Dr. Tony Samaha and the dedicated nurses at Reliant Oncology in Worcester for the care and compassion provided during his illness/ treatment.
