Gale A. Martin

DUDLEY – Gale A. (Bergen) Martin, 71, of Pierpont Road, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in her home with her daughter by her side.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey L. Sitko and her partner Peter Arnberg of Dudley; three cherished grandchildren, Jocelyn Sitko, Jaxon Sitko, and Alyssa Forbes; two sisters, Paula Daniels of Hudson, and Cindy Bergen of Bryant Pond ME; and daughter in law Leanne T. Forbes of Dudley; and several nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Richard “Rick” N. Martin, Jr., who died in 2021; her beloved daughter, Kelly A. Johnson who died in 2024; and two sisters, Karen Bergen and Diane Seymour.

Gale was born in Brighton, daughter of the late Paul R. and Doris L. (Kelly) Bergen, and lived in Sudbury and Marlboro, before moving to Dudley 36 years ago. She graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in 1973.

Gale worked for Commerce Insurance as a senior underwriter for 33 years, retiring in 2020. Outside of work, Gale enjoyed painting, listening to music, caregiving, and vacationing in York Beach, Maine. She loved hosting gatherings at the lake house and spending quality time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her enduring spirit, sense of humor, and her caring attitude towards all.

Calling hours are Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9-11 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will follow at Waldron Cemetery in Dudley.
