Gary "Gus" Grenon

OXFORD – Gary “Gus” W. Grenon, 70, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at UMass-Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, after a courageous battle with heart disease.  He is survived by his sister, Noreen C. Chuplis of Charlton; and several nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra L. Bacon who died in 2019.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Wilfred L. and Mary (Garabedian) Grenon, and lived most of his life in Oxford.  He graduated from Oxford High School in 1966.

Mr. Grenon worked for Schott Corporation in Southbridge for over 20 years, retiring several years ago.  Previously, he worked for American Optical in Southbridge.  He loved cars, motorcycles, and karate.

A private funeral service was held on Tuesday.  Burial was at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
