BROOKFIELD – George M. Andrews, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on Friday August 1, 2025, at Life Care Center of Auburn.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene (St. Martin) Andrews; three children, Robert and his wife Lisa Andrews of Sutton, Mark Andrews of Worcester, Tammy Weiner of Douglas, and Kristine Romano of Shrewsbury who was like a daughter to him; six grandchildren, Samantha and her husband Mark Strom of Millbury, Christine and her husband Tim Frazier of Leominster, Jessica Andrews of Fort Worth, Texas, Adam Weiner of Worcester, Kelly Weiner of Worcester, and Evan Romano of Shrewsbury; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by all six of his siblings.
He was born on Long Island, son of the late George and Anna (Donaghy) Andrews Sr.,and lived in Oxford for 23 years prior to moving to Brookfield.
Mr. Andrews was a supervisor at Greg’s Packing for 25 years, before retiring in 2013. He also worked at Walmart for fifteen years.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He would go fishing, target practicing, enjoyed family vacations, and the occasional visit to the casino for a bit of fun, but above all he loved being with his wife, the love of his life. Married for 61years as of July 30th, their bond was the heart of his world and a true example of enduring love and devotion.
Memorial calling hours are Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Thursday following the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
