OXFORD - Gerald F. Perry, 82, of Hall Road, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria A. (Stone) Perry of Oxford; five children, Patricia Duszlak and her husband Steve of Pomfret Center, CT, Thomas Perry and his wife Cynthia of St. Petersburg, FL, Donna Nicholas of Oxford, Gerald Perry Jr. and his wife Peggy-Sue of Scottsdale, AZ, and James Perry and his wife Donna of Oxford; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Kingston, the son of the late Anthony J. and Gertrude C. (Pervier) Perry, and lived in Oxford for the past 45 years. He graduated from North Brookfield High School. Mrs. Perry was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Following his service in the Navy, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he served for 26 years and retired as chief warrant officer. After his military service, Mr. Perry was a home builder. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood carving and woodworking. A calling hour will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011, from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
