Gordon Christenson

OXFORD - There will be another cardinal watching over us. Gordon "Gordy" E. Christenson, 67, formerly of Oxford, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, in his home. He is survived by five brothers, Richard Christenson and his wife Mary of Pennsylvania, Leonard Christenson and his wife Joan of Webster, Kurt Christenson of Webster, Chris Christenson of Oxford, and Glenn Christenson of North Brookfield; three sisters, Fay Mier of Osterville, Gayle Christenson of Dennis, and Doreen Carlsen and her husband Bill of Oxford; his uncle Herbie; his sister-in-law Dee; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Roland Christensen, Ralph Christenson, and Alan Christenson. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Richard and Dora (Carlson) Christenson, and was a graduate of Oxford High School. Gordy worked at Cranston Print Works in Webster for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, sisters, and family. Services will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
