Harold Lockwood

OXFORD – Harold A. "Curley" Lockwood, 96, of Charlton Street, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Lanessa Extended Care Center, Webster. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Margaret M. (Gibbons) Lockwood, who died in 2000. He is survived by a son, Robert J. Lockwood of Minnetonka, MN; three daughters, Nancy A. Vargo of Belchertown, Joy M. Grudzinskas of Oxford, and Sally J. Giza of Webster; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was born in Newport, NH, the son of the late George and Irene (Reilly) Lockwood, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1947. Mr. Lockwood was a truck mechanic for the Nissan Baking Company in Worcester for many years. After cremation, a private graveside service will be held at St. Roch's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
