OXFORD – Irene T. (Brosnahan) Hull, 89, of Paige Lane, died peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick “Allan” Hull who died in 2021. She is survived by three children, Linda Vigeant of Oxford, Allan Hull and his wife Marilyn of Columbia, TN, and Laurie Rawson and her husband Jody of Oxford; two sisters, Frances Bennett of Oxford, and Claire Guzman of California; nine grandchildren, Joseph Vigeant, James Vigeant and his wife Joey, Adam Hull and his wife Ashley, Steven Hull and his fiancée Beth, Michael Vigeant and his wife Susan, Joshua Hull, Ethan Rawson and his wife Jennifer, Aidan Rawson, and John Bedard; eight great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Alex, Natalie, Joseph Jr., Danielle, Olivia, Jasper, and Emilia; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sons, Douglas Hull who died in 2020, and Steven Hull who died in 1980; her son-in-law, Don Vigeant who died in 2015; her daughter-in-law, Carol Hull who died in 2020; and two sisters, Ruth Prunier and Kathryn Troiano. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James and Irene (Graveline) McMahon, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1964. She graduated from Worcester Public Schools.
Mrs. Hull was a bank teller at Shawmut Bank in Worcester for over 25 years prior to retirement. She spent winters with her husband in Florida for over 20 years. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, oil painting, knitting, crocheting, and playing board games, especially Scrabble. She loved spending time at the beach swimming and collecting seashells. She was a wonderful mom, and though her life was not always easy, she was always there for her children as they were growing up and throughout their lives.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf, 4 Maple Rd., Oxford, MA 01540.
